Iran's revolutionary humanitarian Marxist who was frustrated in his dream.
Mansoor was among a handful of revolutionaries who continued to believe in the possibility of a workers' revolution in Iran and across the Arab world. The weakness and subsequent disunity of the movement of the Left persuaded Mansoor to leave Iran and move to Kurdistan, where he co-founded Communist party of Iran.
Mansoor along with others quit later over the issue of Kurdish nationalism and came to Europe in mid-1980s.
Mansoor was born Zhoobin Razani, in Tehran, and he used the pseudonym of Mansoor Hekmat while developing his arguments. He died of cancer in exile.
