Eighth man to accept Islam. He fought very bravely in the battle of Ouhad. Subsequent to the murder of Hazrat Usman, he refused to acknowledge Hazrat Ali's Khilafat. Both Talha and Zubair had followers in Al-Hijaz, Iraq and represented the Makkan Party. In the Battle of the Camel Hazrat Ali defeated the coalition forces of Hazrat Ayesha, Talha and Zubair. Both Zubair and Talha were killed in the battle. He was among the Ashara Mubbashra.
