Mustafa Al Bakri
A Syrian scholar and a disciple of a Naqshbandi Shaikh, Abdul Ghani of Nablus (1641-1731) who strove to create a revitalised theology and reformed Sufism.
Mustafa al Bakri was based in Cairo where his ideas gained great influence at the al Azhar University. His leading pupil was Muhammad al Hifnawi who developed the idea of Mustafa al Bakri in Egypt.
